The only grocery store I’ve ever seen fresh coon for sale at is located in the 7th Ward in New Orleans.
My daddy loved fresh raccoon, he’d braise it in an electric skillet with sweet potatoes and serve it with a hot pone of corn bread.
I have a feeling most city folks have never tried this delicacy.
